Summary: When I start the launcher it doesn't open. Things I have tried: 1. Verifying game files 2. Deleting and reinstalling ( I also tried a clean install. ) 3. Checking/Updating drivers, Windows, etc 4. Launching game from M&B Bannerlord -> bin -> Win64_shipping_client -> bannerlord ( It only worked with Bannerlord.Native file. - Click the Add an allowed app button to add Bannerlord. Deleting the “spriteData.xml” file located in the "steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\GUI\GauntletUI” folder can fix the issue. This is an obsolete xml file that the game is not using. However, if a mod is installed before changing this file, the game tries to use it and I watch videos and all and it still wont launch my mods. I created a folder D:\\MyGames\\Vortex\\{GAME} on the same drive I have all my games. It still wont launch my mods. I need help. Never used vortex before. Only NMM. All my mods are enabled. Go to the Settings menu > Select Storage. Choose Saved Data > Select Bannerlord 2. Press the Options button on the controller > Select the saved game data files (one or multiple). Hit Delete and confirm the task to complete it. Once done, make sure to reboot the console to apply changes. We'll publish a fix first thing tomorrow. In the meantime, you can launch the game directly from Bannerlord.exe or delete any non-official modules in the modules folder. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks! I typically don't look at TW forums, so that explains why I didn't see this. Summary: Bannerlord won't actually start whether I try to open the game from the launcher, which does open when I launch from steam. The game also doesn't start when I run the .exe file. So far I have tried: verifying the integrity of game files; reinstalling bannerlord; reinstalling steam entirely; deleting C:/ProgramData/Mount and Blade II Now, open up your Steam client > Go to Library > Right-click on the game > Properties > Select Launch Options under the General tab. Now, type -windowed and click on OK to save changes. (It will force run the game in windowed mode) Once done, restart your Steam launcher and run the Mount & Blade II Bannerlord game again. If you are trying play 1.7.x or earlier, delete all instances of language_data.xml and try again; if you are trying to play 1.8.0, delete them all anyways but then re-verify game files to acquire fresh copies in case something's wrong with them. Thanks a lot! Removing the languages fixed moving from 1.8.0 -> 1.7.1. #9. .
